James and I live next door to Garden Cottage & The Workshop with our children; Ella and Archie and our 2 dogs; Maisie, who’s a Border Terrier and Peppa, who’s a Sprockerpoo. James is a property developer and I work in property rental.

We fell in love with Habton House as soon as we saw it, it’s a beautiful property in a very peaceful secluded location, yet it’s not far from ‘civilisation’! When we bought it, it hadn’t been lived in for 6 years, so we had lots to do when we moved here in 2009. We renovated the house initially as a 3-bedroom Bed & Breakfast, soon gaining 5 Star status and featuring in Alister Sawdays Special Places to Stay. In 2016 we closed the B&B and after some more renovations, we opened Garden Cottage; a cosy luxury 2-bedroom holiday let.

More recently we converted some old granary buildings, to the left of Habton House, into a spacious open plan 2-bedroom barn conversion, still luxury, but with an industrial/rustic twist.

Our cottages overlook lovely countryside and they have a very homely comfortable feel with everything you could wish for (we hope!).
